QUICK & EASY Dry Skin Lotion

So, my kids all tend to have some dry and itchy patches during the winter and occationally during the summer. I have a great skin balm I make for when there seem to be real issues, but this is my go to for maintenance and it is SUPER easy to make! Please note that most skin conditions are related to diet (gluten, dairy, or other sensitivites), but using essential oils can help hydrate and nourish the skin.

Ingredients

1 cup extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil

Frankincense essential oil

Lavender essential oil

Melrose essential oil

Germanium essential oil (this one is optional)

Spoon (I use a wooden spoon)

Large bowl

Storage contaner

Directions

Scoop out 1 cup coconut oil

Place into the bowl

Add 12 drops lavender, 8 drops frankincense, 6 drops melrose, and 6 drops geranium.

Mix together thoroughly

Add to container

Store and use as needed

Please note that I use this for when we are maintaining healthy skin and it is concentrated with oils. For everyday hydration I tend to use the Lavender Hand & Body Lotion on myself and my kiddo that has less irritated skin. This can also be used as a diaper cream, lip balm, or even an anti-chaffing rub if you are trying to make minimal products!
